MAZDA CX-5 Touch Screen and Tech Features

The Mazda CX-5 is a beloved SUV long known for its ingenuity and reliable handling. However, there are also a lot of technology upgrades worth mentioning. Among these are the Mazda CX-5 touch screen and its infotainment system as a whole.

The Infotainment

The SUV’s touch screen comes in the form of a 10.25-inch display, complete with center console controls. This comes standard, as is a Bose® 10-speaker audio system. The infotainment comes with SiriusXM radio and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto® compatibility.

You can interact with the infotainment system through the integrated Siri voice-command system. Use your voice to modify the menu screen or acquire directions. Additional interior technology includes a seven-inch LCD meter display and driving display information that’s projected to the windshield.

Performance Technology

Under the hood is a 2.5-liter engine that produces 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. The impressive performance is in part due to the Skyactiv®-Vehicle Dynamics with G-vectoring Control Plus.

In addition, there is also the optional i-Activ AWD® with Off-road Traction Assist. This is a great addition if you need additional tire-gripping ability during off-road excursions.

Safety Technology

The Mazda CX-5 is fitted with a number of safety technologies to minimize the odds of a collision or minimize its impact should one occur. Features that come standard include:

• Radar cruise control with stop and go
• Blindspot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
• Smart brake support with collision warning
