Is MAZDA Still Offering a VVT Warranty Extension?

July 17th, 2023 by

In addition to manufacturing vehicles that are packed with the latest connectivity and safety technologies, fuel-efficient, and fun to drive, Mazda is also known for its reassuring warranty. While the Mazda VVT warranty extension that was launched around 10 years ago is no longer in place, buyers of new Mazda cars still have a plethora of warranty options at their disposal. Here is an overview of the Mazda warranty, presented by the team at El Dorado Mazda.

MAZDA New Vehicle Limited Warranty

A New Vehicle Limited Warranty is included with the purchase a new Mazda car. It covers defects in materials and workmanship in all Mazda parts, and it lasts for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty is also transferable.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

Every new Mazda car comes with a Powertrain Limited Warranty that covers any defects in the car’s powertrain. This warranty is transferable as well, and it lasts for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

As part of the two limited warranties, 24/7 roadside assistance is included in case of issues. For instance, if your Mazda car is not drivable due to a part failure during the coverage period of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, towing service will be provided to the nearest Mazda dealership.

Extended Warranty Options

Finally, Mazda also offers an extended vehicle service contract through the Mazda Extended Confidence program. While one year of coverage comes with your vehicle, buyers can purchase up to nine years or 100,000 miles.
