Is a Pre-Owned MAZDA Car Reliable?

Purchasing a pre-owned Mazda car is a budget-friendly way to commit to a lifestyle change. However, just how reliable are pre-owned vehicles, considering they already have some miles on the odometer? Find out what makes the vehicles in our pre-owned inventory reliable.
Mazda Certified Pre-Owned Cars
If you purchase a vehicle from our Mazda Certified inventory, then reliability is a non-issue. Cars that receive the Mazda Certified designation are subject to rigorous inspection standards set forth by the manufacturer.
Cars must meet all of the following standards:
- Pass a 160-point multi-point inspection
- Verified by AutoCheck® as not having been in major collisions
- Cannot be from a model year more than six years old
- Cannot have exceeded 80,000 miles on the odometer
If there are any deficiencies, our technicians will address them well before the vehicle reaches our Mazda Certified inventory.
Additionally, if any parts need to be replaced, we only use OEM components. Therefore, you can rest assured that the vehicles won’t contain any aftermarket or semi-compatible replacement parts.
What About Our Ordinary Pre-Owned Inventory?
The vehicles in our pre-owned inventory still undergo a basic inspection to ensure all major components are in working order. This still makes them far more reliable than a used vehicle purchased from a private seller.
Plus, you can look up ratings and reviews from real drivers, to give you an idea of issues you might encounter with the model you’ve chosen.
We have models like the Mazda3 in our Mazda Certified or pre-owned inventory. With our pre-owned cars, you can be confident that their reliability is on par with a brand-new Mazda vehicle.
