What is “RF”?
“RF” stands for “Retractable Fastback,” which means that this roadster, unlike the cloth-top 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata, has a retractable hard top. Another key difference: you won’t find the Sport trim on this model. That leaves two trims, the Club and Grand Touring, only the latter of which can be equipped with the automatic transmission.
For its part, the Club trim offers Bilstein shocks, a limited-slip differential, and a front strut tower brace; these features aren’t found in the Grand Touring model with its automatic transmission. The Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Club also makes the optional Brembo BBS Recaro package (Brembo brakes, BBS alloy wheels, and Recaro sport seats) standard equipment.
