2021 Mazda6 Spotlight | McKinney, TX
The Mazda6 combines beautiful design, advanced tech, and smooth performance to create a well-rounded driving experience. Now, this sophisticated sedan is getting even better. Here’s a look at what’s new for the 2021 Mazda6.
Standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
For the first time, the Mazda6 comes with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration (Grand Touring and above trims get wireless Apple CarPlay®, too). This builds on the sedan’s other standard features, which include the Mazda Connect™ infotainment system with 8-inch display screen, a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights and taillights. The standard i-ACTIVSENSE® safety provides systems like Smart Brake Support with Collision Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
The Mazda6 offers an optional SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter turbo engine, and it’s getting a boost for 2021. With premium fuel, this engine now makes 320 lb-ft of torque, up from 310, to go along with its 250 horsepower. The standard SKYACTIV®-G engine stays the same, delivering a responsive 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission and performance-enhancing G-Vectoring Control Plus.
The Carbon Edition is an attractively styled new addition to the 2021 Mazda6 lineup. Slotted just above the Grand Touring Reserve trim, the Carbon Edition exterior flaunts a Polymetal Gray paint job, a gloss black rear lip spoiler, and 19-inch black metallic alloy wheels. The interior features red leather seats with black stitching, plus red stitching on the dash and center console.
