What Is a Top Safety Pick+?
The IIHS gives the Top Safety Pick+ designation to vehicles that score exceptionally well on crash tests. Top Safety Pick vehicles have a Good rating across front, rear, side, and roof crash tests, but to earn the additional Plus, they also must get a high score for front crash prevention technology.
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 earned the top “Good” rating across all crash tests, and earned the highest “Superior” score for both its vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash test technology.
