2020 Mazda6 Performance Updates | McKinney, TX
The sporty Mazda6 received quite a bit of extra pep in its 2020 refresh. Read more to learn about the changes Mazda announced for the midsize sedan.
Standard Engine Performance
The new 2020 Mazda6 is available in two engine configurations. The first, which is standard on all trim levels, is a 2.5-liter SKYACTIV®-G engine. This engine delivers up to 186 lb-ft of torque and 187 horsepower.
Turbo Engine Performance
The 2020 Mazda6’s Grand Touring trim offers the available new SKYACTIV®-G 2.5T turbocharged engine. This powertrain configuration is able to generate up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 RPM when using 93 octane gasoline.
Fuel Efficiency
Though Mazda models are already fuel efficient vehicles, the Mazda6’s new cylinder-deactivation feature will help you save even more at the pump. When the Mazda6 is in a standard cruising state, two engine cylinders will be turned off in order to more conservatively consume fuel.
Sport Mode
Mazda aims to engineer vehicles that are fun to drive, and the 2020 Mazda6 is no exception. All new 2020 Mazda6 vehicles come with an automatic SKYACTIV®-Drive six-speed transmission. The SKYACTIV®-Drive technology includes multiple driving modes like the new Sport Mode that performs constant gear recalibration to make for an enjoyable driving experience.
